The Jackalope is a mythical cryptid of North American folklore (a so-called "fearsome critter") described as a jackrabbit with antelope horns or deer antlers and sometimes a pheasant's tail (and often hind legs). The word jackalope is a portmanteau of "jackrabbit" and "antalope", an archaic spelling of antelope.
The Jackalope is said to be a rabbit with the antlers of a deer or antelope. Two species of Jackalope appear in the Secret Saturdays universe. One species, the Pacific Jackalope, was seen in the Secret Saturdays action pack #32: Sticks and Stones. The Great Plains Jackalope was seen on the cover of Weird World Magazine. It known that a group of Pacific Jackalopes lives near Saturday HQ. Zak Saturday stated that the Pacific Jackalope is much bigger than the Great Plains Jackalope, but they are just as fast.
